KRISDAYANTI: GLORIOUS INDONESIAN SINGER

Krisdayanti, often known as KD, Yanti, or Kris, was born in Batu, East Java, March 24, 1975. she is an Indonesian artist and singer, one of 3 diva members (two others are Titi Dwi Jayati and Ruth sahanaya0. Krisdayanti is the younger brother of singer Yuni Sara. She is the doughter of the couple Rachma Widadiningsih and Trenggono.

Krisdayanti started her career when she was in the high-school. She participated in many singing competitions and modeling pageants. In 1991, she became a finalist in Gadis Sampul, a cover girl contest. It was also during that period she met James Sundah and recorded two songs for him. With that, she began to receive many invitations to sing and model.

It was Youngki Suwarno who brought Krisdayanti to an Asia Bagus audition. There, she felt inferior because of her appearance. The other contestants were decked in glittering show dresses whereas she was simply dressed in jeans and T-shirt. Fortunately, she won the Asia Bagus Championship as the first Asia Bagus Grand Champion from Indonesia in the early 1990’s. After her winning, she became a star instantly. With eight albums to her credit and a few singles, she has reached superstardom. She is not only known in her country but around the Southeast Asian region as well.

In August 22, 1996, Krisdayanti married Anang Hermansyah, who is also a famous personality in the music scene. Anang Hermansyah is a song writer, also a singer, and a music producer. Together they became famous as the “power couple” of Indonesia, with successful duet and solo albums. They had two children, a daughter, Titania Aurelia Hermansyah, and a son, Azriel Hermansyah.

After got married to Anang, the career of Krisdyanti get popular more and more. Even, she ever got 8 times concert for a year on 2004. She also became an MTV ICON, GE Finance icon for Master Card, Mercedes Benz, Bukrim, BCA Magazine, Enjoy Jakarta and as the representative of Samsung Indonesia.

She also reported as the highest payed actress in Indonesia by Swa magazine.

In 2006, with the 3 diva, she established concert in any big city in Indonesia. Beside singing solo, she also sing doa with her husband, and their songs always got popular.

In spite of singing, Krisdayanti also success as the actress. She played many role and character either in the sinetron or movie.

Un fortunately, she also has bad reputation on her life. According to her book that was released on July 16, 2009 entitled My Life Secret, written by Alberthiene Endah, KD reveal ‘dark secret’ of his life. As he had sabu-sabu addiction, the addiction to plastic surgery and the story of the affairs.

The other bad story from Krisdayanti is her divorcion with Anang Hermansyah on October 22, 2009. Actually, Anang confessed that he divorced Krisdayanti four days before fasting month started. The divorce was done in an Islamic manner, meaning it has not been filed in the religious court. Anang also revealled that Yanti who asked for it.

Anang said they had talked about every aspect of the divorce, including the division of their extensive assets. The couple also agreed that their children would stay with Anang.

The rumour cconveyed that the divorcion is due to Yanti's affairs. In may rumours said that during her marriage, Krisdayanti has affair with many guys, such as Tohpati, Ari Sigit, and Dicky Wahyudi. And the last, at upcoming her divorcion with Anang, She got affair with Raul Lemos, the rich entrepreneur from East Timor.

Even though she got many conflict in her life, but after divorcion, Krisdayanti still can show her capabilities and competencies as a singer. She even has the song together with Nurhaliza, Charlie ST12, and Maia Estianty.
